Family Movie Night Kicks Off at Waterside District

Norfolk, Virginia (June 8, 2017)

WHAT: Waterside District in Norfolk is kicking off Family Movie Night, a free summer activity that everyone in the family can enjoy. The series will be
offered monthly, starting in June with Disney’s computer-animated musical fantasy Moana.

WHEN: Tuesday, June 20. Fun activities for children start at 5 pm; movie starts at 6 pm. (running time is 1 hr 53 min) In keeping with the popular film’s
tropical theme, there will be a Maui character appearance, Polynesian dancers and free floral leis for children.

DETAILS: Moana is an inspiring story of a strong-willed girl who goes on a mystical quest to save her island people from a blight captivated audiences in
theaters throughout the country last year.

WHERE: The movie will play on the 20-foot TV screen located inside The Market at Waterside District.

WHY: “This is just one of the many family-oriented programs on the schedule at Waterside District,” said Glenn Sutch, president of Waterside District.
“There’s a lot going on at Waterside District all summer long, and we encourage families to bring their kids and be a part of it,”
