The top four auditions will perform live for the judges at Waterside District this Thursday, July 27th at 8:00pm.

The public is invited to watch the contestants perform starting at 8:00pm on the outdoor Blue Moon Concert Stage Powered By Lumos at Waterside District.

“We’re excited to be part of this opportunity to showcase our local country music talent and give them the chance to compete nationally,” said Glenn Sutch, president of Waterside District. “Many of country music’s hottest stars such as Garth Brooks, Luke Bryan, Martina McBride and Miranda Lambert and many more have participated in the Country Showdown, which helped to jump-start their careers.”

“The feedback and advice that contestants get from the judges will give them a huge boost of confidence,” said Allen Fabijan with US106.1. New Country radio. Fabijan noted that the singers who are selected to compete locally will receive prizes from the station. “The regional final winner receives $1,000 and the semi final winner gets a trip to the national finals of the Country Showdown, where the winner earns the title Best New Act in Country Music and an artist development package to take their careers to the next level,” he added.
