Fall Family Fun in Downtown Norfolk

Fall festival season has arrived. While there is plenty of eating and drinking to do this fall in downtown Norfolk, there are also plenty of kid- and family-friendly events happening throughout the season.

The 30th Annual Virginia Children’s Festival returns to Town Point Park on Saturday, October 6th. This family festival is packed with interactive activities for kids like storytelling, arts and crafts, educational displays, costumed characters and much more. Who doesn’t love a movie night? Come out to Waterside District this fall for our Family Movie Night(s). Waterside hosts FREE screenings of movies once a month. On October 17th, get excited for Halloween by bringing the entire family to watch E.T. In November, you can get into the holly, jolly holiday spirit with Home Alone on the 14th. These events are free and you’re encouraged to bring blankets and chairs. Waterside District also offers (1) FREE kids meal with any adult entree purchase at Blue Moon TapHouse or Guy Fieri’s Smokehouse. For more information, click here.

Family Movie Night

The 2018 TowneBank Norfolk In-Water Boat Show (moved after Hurricane Florence) has been rescheduled for November 9th – November 11th. The show will feature a wide variety of new and used power boats on land and in-water from dealers across the state and surrounding regions with the newest and best in luxury motor yachts, sport fish, and personal water crafts. The show will take place at the Waterside Marina, Town Point Park and here at Waterside District, in downtown Norfolk. Kids 15 and younger are FREE.
