Hundreds came out last weekend to watch Army face off against rival Navy on the football field. Since Norfolk is home to the largest naval station in the world, there was a sea of navy blue-clad fans in the building on Saturday. While most fans were rooting “Raise the Sail,” there were some Army fans in their Army green or Black Knight jerseys sprinkled throughout the crowd.
965 FM Sports Talk radio was broadcasting live from the Market stage throughout the game – reporting highlights and giving out Waterside District gift cards to fans in the Market.
Football fanatics enjoyed watching the game on the big screen (and we mean big). The Market boasts a 25-foot TV that is perfect for watching any and all sports!
The Black Knights beat the Midshipmen 17-10 – the third straight win against their rival, Navy.
