Thousands screamed “Happy New Year” as the clock struck midnight at Waterside District on New Year’s Eve!
This is the second New Year’s Eve party at the newly renovated Waterside District in downtown Norfolk. Guests were able to choose from a Platinum or Gold Package for either VIP access to Harbor Club on the second floor or general admission to the various restaurants and bars in Waterside District.
VIPS enjoyed music from J and the Band, an impressive spread of food (including hand-carved brisket and seafood galore), and Portsmouth skyline views from the Harbor Club patio. People weren’t only celebrating the new year – but also an engagement! Two guests got engaged on the Harbor Club patio during the party!
Downstairs in the Market, guests rocked out to music from locally loved 80s band the Deloreans and were able indulge in food provided by Blue Moon TapHouse, Guy Fieri’s Smokehouse, Cogans, the Local and more. Many rode the bull into the New Year at PBR Norfolk and danced the night away in the Market.
Before midnight, the Deloreans performed a cover of “The Final Countdown” and transitioned into New Year’s Eve classic, “Auld Lang Syne”, to ring in the New Year.
Thanks to everyone who came out and partied with us. We can’t wait to do it all over again next year. Happy New Year!
