Labor Day marks the unofficial end of summer, and we’re sending off the season in style here at Waterside District. Whether you are hosting family members for the long weekend, want to show friends a good time, or are planning to avoid the beach crowds, Waterside District has plenty to offer this coming weekend.
We’re kicking off LDW with a FREE concert from the Virginia Symphony Orchestra brass ensemble. The performance will be on the Blue Moon Concert Stage, powered by Lumos Networks, along the Elizabeth River. Doors open at 6 PM, and the concert begins at 7 PM. Guests are encouraged to bring chairs, blankets, friends and family to enjoy some beautiful live music and an evening on the water. For more information, click here.
On Saturday evening, there will be even more live music to enjoy. Local blues musician BigForestFire will play from 4 PM to 8 PM. This free show will be held on the Blue Moon Concert Stage, located directly behind Blue Moon TapHouse, overlooking the Elizabeth River. For more information, click here.
Along with plenty of live entertainment, FOOTBALL IS BACK and there will be various watch parties at Blue Moon TapHouse over the weekend. For more information on which games (calling all Michigan, Penn State and VT fans) will be on the big screen, visit our Facebook page.
PBR Norfolk, a Coors Banquet Bar will also open it’s doors at 8 PM this Sunday for those hoping to ride the mechanical bull and enjoy an ice-cold beer before the weekend is over. And as always, Waterside District and the Market will be open and serving our favorite eats and drinks. Say goodbye to summer while enjoying a freshly-squeezed orange crush overlooking the water, tasty tuna tacos at Guy Fieri’s Smokehouse, or a piled-high ice cream cone from the Fudgery.
Spend your holiday weekend enjoying the sounds (and tastes) of summer at Waterside District.
